From 2020 to 2022, I was actively addressing social justice issues in my capacity as a former psychologist. I made several reports regarding risks in the systems for vulnerable children. Not staying in my lane.
In 2023, I resolved a challenging issue through mediation to prevent a stressful, protracted, costly, and public legal proceeding. But this had detrimental repercussions on my career. The situation originated from my advocacy for vulnerable children and culminated in the closure of my psychology practice.
I am no longer a registered health practitioner.
The recovery process following a setback has been incredibly hard. I am discovering the importance of reducing the time spent dwelling on the past narrative and instead concentrating on the opportunities that lie ahead. Transitioning to a new career path is undoubtedly difficult, but I am committed to overcoming this obstacle.
